PROJECT CW-001 · ELEVATION VIEW · SCALE 1:1

Small electronic objects,
drawn before they are built.

Casualwings is a design studio in California, with engineering in Taipei. We've spent a decade shipping consumer electronics for other people. This is the first sheet of our own.

Re: V3 direction

Most pre-launch hardware sites dress an empty studio in quiet paper or a glowing orb. Both are decoration around an absence — there is no product yet, so each version finds something pretty to put in the space.

This site stops decorating. It commits to the one artifact a hardware studio can honestly publish before shipping: an engineering drawing. The website becomes Sheet 001 of 001 — title block, revision table, dimension lines, a callout balloon where the product will be.

The aesthetic is drafting, the tone is technical-but-warm (Plex Sans Condensed with a Newsreader serif for the human moments), and the structure mirrors a real ISO 5457 sheet: border, registration marks, ruler ticks, BOM, change order, signature block.

The bet: a pre-launch hardware company looks most credible when it shows you the work, not the wrap. Reviewers, potential collaborators, and curious visitors all read the same signal — these people draw before they build. That is what a studio is.
